The Divas Are Done

I finished painting my Decadent Diva sandals last week. It took me about 3 hours to apply the five separate layers of Ceramcoat exterior varnish on Saturday. I like the painting, the variegated blue-purple background, and the shaded red cherries are pretty. I'm not completely satisfied with my painting job, but overall, it was a great result for a first try.

The main thing I don't like about my sandals is that they are not terribly easy to walk in. I think the heel is about 3.5 inches tall. When I wear them, I feel like I'm walking on stilts. They put me almost eye-to-eye with Jared, which is nice, but I can't escape the feeling that I am much taller than usual. I think it makes me a little dizzy.

I can't see myself wearing these shoes very often. I think I might put them on Ebay and see what I can get for them.
