Adventures in Cooking: Red Velvet Cake & Chocolate Kahlua Cake
So lately i have been obsessed with cake recipes from a book called The Cake Mix Doctor. The Cake Mix Doctor (CMD) tells you how to make cool, fancified cakes starting with a box of cake mix.

I used the CMD recipe to make my Red Velvet birthday cake, and I think it came out better than the Red Velvet cakes I've made from scratch. Saturday I used the Chocolate Kahlua cake recipe to make a cake for my mom for Mother's Day. It was very good. My mom had a copy of the CMD checked out from the library. She said she was only going to photocopy the recipes she thought she'd use, but all the recipes look so good, I knew she'd end up photocopying half the book. So I bought the book for her as her Mother's Day gift. She was very happy with it.
