Pom-pom Hat
I started on the hat this weekend. Friday I bought double pointed needles, a set of circular needles, and a ball of Lyon Brand Homespun yarn in "Barrington" to go with the "Waterfall" yarn I already have.

I had a few problems getting started on the circular needles. I even tried to start out on the DPN's. That put everything in perspective, and I went back to the circular needles.

The hat is almost done. It is mainly the "Waterfall" yarn with two 1" stripes of "Barrington" thrown in for decoration. I am almost finished with it, which is good, because my hands are starting to hurt and my fingers are sore from tapping the point of the needle down through each stitch (I knit Continental style).

I think I'll be done tonight. The instructions Michelle put up on quidnunc.org are very easy to follow and the hat does knit up rather quickly.
